Matt Barnes
Researcher
Matt is one of a number of dedicated Analysts at NatCen. Our analysts focus their time on providing statistical evidence on key policy issues, often using data collected by NatCen. Matt spends much of his time understanding policy areas, analysing survey data and writing reports that present our analysis and interpretations. His main areas of interest are poverty, social exclusion and work-life balance. Matt came to NatCen having completed a Ph.D. on measuring social exclusion and since being at NatCen has spent two years on secondment at the Social Exclusion Task Force in the Cabinet Office. He currently works in the Income and Work Group.
