
Alison joined NatCen as a Research Director in 2010. Alison currently works on projects within the Crime and Justice team and the Society and Social Change team.
Alison manages a number of projects including waves 2 and 3 of Understanding Society, the largest social research study of its kind in the world. She is currently working on an evaluation of Integrated Drug Treatment Systems (IDTS) in prisons for the Department of Health. The evaluation involves a longitudinal survey with prisoners in receipt of IDTS treatment.
Since joining NatCen, Alison has managed an evaluation of Lone Parent Obligations for the Department for Work and Pensions and an evaluation of the integration of Neighbourhood Policing and neighbourhood management in exemplar sites across the UK. She recently wrote the 'Reality of Generation Rent' report on behalf of Halifax.
Alison has over 10 years research experience managing a range of quantitative and qualitative studies at the Office for National Statistics and CELLO mruk research.
