Andy MacGregor

Andy has over 15 years' experience of working in the social research field. The majority of Andy's work has been in health-related research and evaluation, working across both quantitative and qualitative methods. As well as working on the Scottish Health Survey, Andy has been project director for numerous mixed method studies, including projects exploring school meals, the impact of changes to licensing laws in Scotland, and an evaluation of a self-management tool for people with mental health problems. Andy has previously worked as an academic researcher in the Department of Public Health Sciences in the University of Edinburgh, and has also been employed as a research specialist/manager at NHS Health Scotland.
