
Caroline is a Research Director in NatCen's Crime and Justice
team. She is an experienced qualitative researcher with a
particular interest in researching sensitive issues. Her recent
work includes an evaluation of Victim Support's Homicide Service
(Ministry of Justice) and a study examining the behaviour of sexual
offenders who have used the internet to groom young people
(European Union). Caroline also delivers training on various
aspects of qualitative research for NatCen Learning, including
in-depth interviewing, managing challenging interviews and focus
group moderation.
Prior to joining NatCen in 2007, Caroline worked for BMRB Social
Research where she managed a wide range of qualitative studies and
policy evaluations. Caroline read Social Policy and Sociology at
the London School of Economics, before undertaking a MSc in
Criminology, also at the LSE.
