Emily takes a lead role on a wide variety of education-related projects, reporting recently on private tuition, supplementary schools and secondary school admissions. An important element of her work in the education group is to evaluate interventions and she is currently involved in evaluations of Activity Agreements aimed at NEET young people, Every Child a Reader and the Free School Meals pilot. Before joining NatCen, Emily worked at Yale University and at Oxford, where she also completed a DPhil in social policy.
