Steven Coutinho
Researcher

Steven Coutinho is a Graduate Research Trainee in the Income and Work team and joined NatCen Social Research in 2011. Since then, he has worked as a mixed methods researcher and has a keen interest in youth unemployment and higher education. Steve has worked extensively on the data preparation and analysis for the Ross-CASE Survey, which measures the philanthropic giving to UK Higher Education and Further Education institutions. Steven has also been involved in a number of qualitative studies including research into the experience of debt and debt advice for the Islington Debt Coalition. He is currently working on a study researching material deprivation amongst older people.

Steven has an MA in Criminology and Criminal Justice from King's College London and a BA in Criminology and Sociology from the University of Kent.
