Director of Research
William heads up our rich and diverse research department packed full of subject and methods specialists who are committed to delivering research that matters and makes a difference.
He's spent 20 years working in applied social research. The majority of that time has been spent at NatCen Social Research. He kicked off his career as a survey researcher but in later years went on to specialise in qualitative research studies, eventually becoming Director of the Qualitative Research Unit.
He has also worked on applied social studies at University College Cork in Ireland and was a Fellow at the Office for Public Management where he was involved in both research and stakeholder engagement work.
