    The landscape of work has changed dramatically in the past 25 years, from a 9 to 5 culture and 'jobs for life' to new ways of working, less job security and consequently, a greater emphasis on training and retraining. Through a wide range of studies, we have tracked and analysed the evolution of the labour market in Britain.
    We also conduct a substantial number of studies relating to education and skills, ranging from studies of young people in education and evaluations of school-based initiatives, to studies of adult learning. We have particularly focused on the relationship between education, training and employment which links in to our research into the labour market
