Research on sentencing online fraud offences

Aim

This research explores ways in which online fraud is being committed, how it is experienced by victims and the impact it had on them. The research was conducted to inform guidelines on sentencing fraud offences. 

Methodology

• Rapid evidence assessment.
• Interviews with staff in key organisations at the forefront of fraud prevention and victim support work.
• Interviews and focus groups with victims of online fraud.
