
Alun is a Research Director in the Society & Social Change research team, having joined NatCen in 2001. Alun directs the National Travel Survey, which provides DfT's main measure of personal travel in Great Britain. He has worked on a range of other studies including running NatCen's Omnibus survey since its launch in 2006. This involved studies across a diverse range of policy areas such as attitudes to later life, inheritance, transport and public confidence in official statistics.
Alun was also responsible for running the Survey of English Housing until 2008. He has a range of reporting experience, notably contributing to the British Social Attitudes 23rd Report Alun graduated from the City University in 1994, with a degree in Business Studies.
